Many of our website projects begin with a workshop. We have developed the workshop format over a decade, and they are a very successful way of kicking off the project.
As we are looking at the needs of the project: the audiences and their needs, the website structure and the creative approach, our website workshops are also designed to illuminate potential, and build consensus around goals and outcomes. The workshop is an intentionally-offline process designed to focus around the bigger picture issues and challenges without being distracted by purely executional considerations. We have a great workshop facility, and generally try to encourage our clients out of their offices and their usual daily distractions.
A website planning workshop will usually include:
• Objectives for the session
• Business and marketing objectives
• Audience needs
• Grouping needs / IA
• Creative exercise
• UX exercise
